THE GOLD VOLATILITY MODEL: Latest Updates

Ed Breen, September 29, 2009 (© 2009)

The GVM shows continued decline in the YOY Core PCE through the end of this year into Q1 of 2010 and than an apparent bottoming starting at the end of Q1 2010. The actual PCE has continued to follow the predicted trend, so the actuals should continue to decline from last month's 1.4% to something below 1% before we see a bottoming. There is nothing in this prediction that shows any emergent inflation in the next six months.
