The supply-side forum was created by various members of the TalkShop discussion forum hosted by Jude Wanniski's company Polyconomics, which closed in 2006. Many of the participants had been reading and posting in the forum for many years and, seeing the quality of discussion remain high for an extended period of time, couldn't bear to lose the valuable resource and connections forged. We had many interests, professions, and backgrounds but we all shared a passion for discussing various aspects of economics, politics, and more general subjects.

We recognize that part of the appeal of the original board was the participation of and opportunity to interact not only with knowledgeable people the world over but with the original host who drew us together, a man who was both influential and well known. While people have many opinions regarding Mr. Wanniski, it must be acknowledged that he would engage anyone who was willing to discuss the subjects he thought mattered, something I believe few public figures are willing to do on a regular basis. While the sponsors of this site cannot promise any such cachet or special credibility, we do continue to share our passion for this branch of economics and related subjects. We therefore invite as many of the original participants as possible to join us in our new home, and hope you will too.
